According to Ghanaian musician Captain Planet, a former member of the now-defunct group 4×4, King Promise has a strong chance of being nominated for Artiste of the Year at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) next year if he releases another major hit.
The momentum is currently behind King Promise, and fans will be closely monitoring his next move, Captain Planet noted in a recent post on X.
He wrote:
“If King Promise comes with some monstrous hit again, it’s likely that he can be nominated for AOTY next year because now the spotlight is on him, and everybody will be keeping up with whatever he has going on.”
“Same applies to the other AOTY nominees.”
Captain Planet made these remarks after King Promise won four major awards at the 26th TGMA — Best Afropop Song, Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste, Best Album/EP of the Year, and the coveted Artiste of the Year.
