The Ghana Armed Forces said Tuesday it has evacuated three Ghanaian traders injured in a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso.

The military’s Department of Public Relations said the traders were caught in the February 14 assault while conducting business in the neighboring country.

The Ghana Air Force carried out the evacuation on February 17 as part of the government’s humanitarian and security response to protect nationals abroad. The injured were flown to Accra and admitted to the 37 Military Hospital for medical care.

The Armed Forces expressed sympathy to families affected by the attack, offering condolences to those who lost relatives and wishing the injured a swift recovery.
