Firefighters from the Anyaa, Amasaman, and Circle Fire Stations have successfully brought under control a domestic fire outbreak at Kasoa Tuba near Fulani Junction in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Wednesday June 10, 2026, a distress call was received at approximately 3:04 a.m. reporting a fire involving the top floor of a one-storey residential building.
The affected structure, an old storey building that previously served as an entertainment centre before being converted into a residential facility, was already engulfed in flames when the first responders from the Anyaa Fire Station arrived at the scene at 3:39 a.m.
The Kasoa and Weija fire tenders were temporarily unavailable at the time of the incident, prompting the deployment of firefighters from Anyaa, with additional support later arriving from the Amasaman and Circle Fire Stations.
After nearly two hours of coordinated firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control at about 5:30 a.m.
One female occupant sustained injuries after attempting to escape from the first floor of the burning building. She was rescued and handed over to personnel from the National Ambulance Service for medical treatment and transportation to a nearby health facility.
Fire officials confirmed that overhaul operations continued after the fire was contained to extinguish remaining hotspots and ensure the safety of the premises.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are expected to commence once the scene has been declared safe.
The Ghana National Fire Service has urged residents to observe fire safety precautions and promptly report fire outbreaks to emergency responders to minimize damage and casualties.
