Mr Baffoe has yet to publicly respond to the summons

The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) has invited Mr Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), popularly known as Abronye DC, to appear before it on 26 February 2025.

The invitation follows allegations Mr Baffoe made against President John Mahama that he withheld GH₵550 million meant for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House.

According to a letter from the NIB, he has been asked to provide evidence to support his claims, which he made on Accra-based Movement Television, where he also accused the government of corruption in recruitment and revocation processes.

The NIB has not disclosed further details about the nature of the investigation or potential legal consequences.
