The NDC Chairman further stressed that the government's commitment to accountability extends beyond the opposition.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to holding individuals accountable for corruption, particularly officials from the previous administration.

In a video circulating  on social media on February 16, 2025, Mr. Asiedu Nketia emphasised that no one, regardless of their position or political affiliation, would escape scrutiny.

His remarks specifically targeted former officials from the Akufo-Addo administration, including former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, who he vowed would face questioning over multiple alleged corruption cases.

“Wherever Ken Ofori-Atta is hiding, they’d get him to answer questions on the cases of corruption against him. He will come. All of them, every crime they have committed, they would account,” he stated.

“We will tighten the noose on corruption,” he said, vowing that even current government officials would be held to the highest standards and face consequences if found guilty of wrongdoing.
