His work at BOYEDOE, known for its fusion of modern design with Ghanaian heritage, has gained attention for its ethical sourcing and artisanal craftsmanship, positioning the brand as a leader in the growing sector of African luxury fashion.
“It is an incredible honor to be the first Ghanaian to be recognised by the LVMH Prize,” David commented. “This is not just for me but for Ghana and the African fashion industry as a whole. It is a testament to the creativity and excellence emerging from our continent.”
As a semi-finalist, David will now present his latest collection to a panel of fashion experts, including LVMH executives and leading industry insiders. Should he advance to the final stage, he will compete for a €400,000 grant and a year of mentorship from LVMH, which could provide a major boost to his brand’s international expansion.
