The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has hosted chief executives in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector at an exclusive breakfast meeting in Accra aimed at strengthening stakeholder engagement and promoting strategic growth within the industry.

The meeting brought together key industry players, government officials and members of the NPA Executive Committee to discuss developments in the petroleum sector and measures to ensure supply stability.
Addressing participants, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, reaffirmed government’s commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to support economic growth and sustainability.

The NPA Chief Executive, Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., said recent geopolitical tensions and conflicts in parts of the world continue to impact global energy markets.

He, however, assured industry players that Ghana remains confident in its pricing policy framework and supply security arrangements.
According to him, recent government interventions on fuel pricing were carefully designed with consideration for the risks facing businesses in the sector.
“Government interventions over the past two windows and the next two windows were well thought through with the risks to your businesses very well considered,” he stated.
The Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Mr Richard Gyan-Mensah, also participated in the discussions.
The meeting concluded with participants agreeing on a number of actions aimed at sustaining growth and improving operations within the downstream petroleum industry.
