The U.S. Embassy in Ghana has announced prioritized visa appointment access for Ghanaians travelling to the United States for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

In a post shared on its official social media platforms on Thursday May 14,2026, the Embassy said ticket holders who purchased FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets through FIFA’s official website and enrolled in the FIFA PASS programme will receive expedited access to U.S. visa interview appointments.

According to the Embassy, eligible applicants are encouraged to schedule their visa interviews as soon as possible ahead of the tournament.

“Great news for FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holders who will travel to the United States this year — we’re giving you prioritized access to U.S. visa appointments through FIFA PASS,” the Embassy stated.

The Embassy explained that applicants must have bought tickets for games taking place in the United States via fifa.com and opted into FIFA PASS to benefit from the arrangement.

Despite the priority access, the Embassy stressed that all applicants will still undergo standard screening procedures and must demonstrate that they qualify for a U.S. visa under existing regulations.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the U.S. expected to host the majority of matches.

The tournament is anticipated to attract millions of fans from across the world, including supporters from Ghana.
