Kofi Yeboah Donates Books to Miaso Krobo D/A Basic School

A lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Mr. Kofi Yeboah, has donated about 700 books to the Miaso Krobo D/A Basic School in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region.

A lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Mr. Kofi Yeboah has donated about 700 books to the Miaso Krobo D/A Basic School in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region.

The books, which include textbooks for Basic 1 to 9 and storybooks for lower primary pupils, were presented at a durbar held on Thursday, October 23, 2025. The event was attended by education officials, traditional leaders, teachers, parents, and pupils.

Mr. Kofi Yeboah said the donation was made possible through the support of Adwinsa Publications (GH) Ltd, the Chancellor of Wisconsin International University College, Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, and the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, among others.

He explained that he was motivated to help because he had served at the same school during his national service in 1992 and was saddened by the poor condition of the school at the time.

“It has always been my wish to return to this school and I’m happy after 33 years, I’ve gotten the opportunity to come back and to donate these books to the school,” he said.

Mr. Yeboah praised the school’s improvement over the years and urged teachers and pupils to make good use of the books. He also encouraged parents to invest in their children’s education.

The District Chief Inspector of Schools, Mr. Seth Kofi Darko, who chaired the event, thanked Mr. Yeboah for his generosity.

The Head Teacher, Mr. David Siame, and the Odikro of Miaso, Nana Kwabi Opoku, also expressed their gratitude and appealed for more support to help the school.
