President John Dramani Mahama has advised young people in Ghana to prepare themselves adequately for future opportunities, stressing that preparation is key to success in life and national development.

Speaking at Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration, the President emphasised that education, skills development, and discipline remain the surest pathways to building a better future.

He encouraged young Ghanaians to take advantage of available opportunities to improve their knowledge and competencies in a rapidly changing global economy.

According to Mr Mahama, the future of any nation depends largely on how well its youth prepare today to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

He urged young people to be innovative, hardworking, and determined to succeed despite economic challenges.

He also encouraged the youth to pursue entrepreneurship and vocational training, noting that not everyone can rely on formal employment.

He said creating personal opportunities through creativity and hard work is essential for economic independence.
