The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister for Communication and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, were involved in a road traffic accident on the Bolgatanga–Tumu Road while travelling to the Upper West Region for official duties.
According to a statement issued by Hashmin Mohammed, Press Secretary to the Education Minister, the accident occurred as the ministers’ convoy was en route to commemorate the 40th Anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education.
Both ministers, along with their teams, were reported to be in stable condition and are receiving medical attention. The statement reassured the public that no lives were lost and all convoy members are safe.
