In addition to granting Emmanuel Asamoah, a victim of xenophobia, GH¢200,000 in financial support to help him rebuild his life, business tycoon Ibrahim Mahama has offered to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot to support his new business venture.
With the help of the money, Mr Asamoah will be able to spend a month with his family before fully returning to Ghana to start planning a new business endeavour.

Days after Mr Mahama promised the Minister of Foreign Affairs that he would help Ghanaians impacted by xenophobic violence in South Africa, the project was launched.
In a meeting with Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa in his office, Mr Mahama encouraged Ghanaians residing in South Africa to return home and support the country’s growth by applying for jobs in his organisation that suit their qualifications.

Assuring them of his support, he also urged Ghanaians who were having trouble overseas to come back to Ghana to start businesses or learn vocational skills.
After returning to Ghana from his family vacation, Emmanuel Asamoah, who formerly ran a nail and hair salon in South Africa, is anticipated to enter the hardware and construction supply industries.
