Sister of highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Faustina Fosu, popularly known as Akosua Foriwaa, has confirmed the final date for the musician’s burial.
Speaking in an interview with Atinka TV on Monday, November 24, 2024, she announced that the family, in consultation with Otumfuo, has agreed on a date and venue for the ceremony.
According to her, the funeral will take place on December 13, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
“We are still vigorously preparing for the funeral with everyone involved,” she stated, emphasizing the family’s commitment to ensuring a well-organized event.
Foriwaa noted that the family’s priority is to foster unity, love, and peace throughout the preparations, stressing that these values are essential for the successful burial of her brother.
She further revealed that Otumfuo’s endorsement of the date comes with an open invitation to sympathizers around the world to attend and honor the late musician.
“I’m pleading on everyone’s behalf to come and make this a success for the family and for my late brother, Daddy Lumba,” she appealed.
