“Queen Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim, reigning Queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), on Wednesday, September 17, paid a courtesy call on President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House.”

The 2024 Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) winner, Queen Titiaka, has taken her climate action campaign to the Jubilee House, where she formally presented her flagship initiative, “Empowering Communities for Climate Action,” to former President John Dramani Mahama.

The initiative, which forms the central advocacy project of her reign, is designed to champion sustainability through climate education, tree planting, clean cooking, recycling, waste management interventions, and the construction of a 3-unit classroom block in the Savannah Region. Queen Titiaka appealed for President Mahama’s support in driving the project, stressing that climate action requires leadership at every level and strong partnerships between government, civil society, and youth leaders.

Expressing admiration for the former president, Queen Titiaka described his role in shaping Ghana’s development agenda as an inspiration to her. “His Excellency’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to national development continue to inspire me deeply. It is this kind of leadership that fuels my determination to use my platform to empower communities and contribute meaningfully to the fight against climate change,” she stated.

She further recalled the crucial support Mahama extended to her during the GMB competition, which she credited as a turning point in her journey to becoming the first winner from the Savannah Region. “This milestone was not just a personal victory but also a collective one for my region, and I remain forever grateful,” she shared.

Describing the engagement as “a truly unforgettable moment” in her journey, the former UPSA SRC Women’s Commissioner thanked President Mahama and his office for the opportunity. She noted that the meeting had strengthened her resolve to work towards “a greener, more sustainable future for Ghana and beyond.”
