Head coach of the Ghana national football team, Otto Addo, has expressed optimism ahead of his side’s upcoming international friendly against Germany national football team today.

Ghana will face Germany in their final game of the March international window, following an earlier friendly against the Austrian national football team in Vienna, where the Black Stars suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat.

The result has raised concerns about the team’s preparedness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but Addo remains confident his side can respond positively.

“We’ve had a lot of things to analyse after the last game, which was a big blow for us,” he told the media ahead of the encounter.

“We’ve gone through a lot in terms of discussions and analysis, and even though we face a stronger opponent, I am optimistic that we can handle the situation,” he added.

The coach indicated that the team has focused on addressing key weaknesses identified in the previous match and is fully prepared for the challenge.

“We are ready. This is our last training session, and we will finalise preparations and look forward to the game,” he said.

The match against Germany is scheduled to take place in Stuttgart, with kick-off set for 18:45 GMT.

The fixture is expected to provide a crucial test for the Black Stars as they continue preparations for upcoming international competitions.
