President John Dramani Mahama will embark on a nationwide tour beginning 18 March 2026, to inspect ongoing government projects and assess their progress.
The initiative, called the “Resetting Ghana Tour,” is designed to bring the government closer to citizens, engage grassroots communities, and provide updates on key national policies and development initiatives.
The tour will kick off in the Bono Region, with participation from regional ministers, local government officials, and other stakeholders directly involved in the implementation of government projects.
During a visit to the Office of Government Communications, Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang briefed the media, with Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu emphasising that the tour is meant to offer practical oversight rather than rely solely on reports from the presidency.
“The President believes it is not enough for ministers to brief the nation from the presidency. He is stepping out to lead the ‘Resetting the Ghana Project,’ starting from the Bono Region tomorrow, all things being equal,” Kwakye Ofosu said.
He added that the exercise will be nationwide, involving ministers, regional officials, district chief executives, and other local leaders, who will tour project sites, interact with opinion leaders, chiefs, and influential community stakeholders.
The Resetting Ghana Tour is part of President Mahama’s broader effort to increase government accountability, ensure timely completion of projects, and strengthen engagement with citizens across the country
