Accra is set to experience a truly unique Christmas celebration as Tobinco Media Group, in collaboration with the Ghana Forestry Commission, rolls out three spectacular family-friendly events at the Accra Zoo this festive season.
Managing Director of Tobinco Media Group, Odelia Ntiamoah, speaking on Morning Target with Bright Nana Amfoh, emphasized the vision behind the initiative: “We are delivering not one, not two, but three unforgettable experiences designed to help us reflect, connect, and celebrate in a completely new way.”
Event Line-Up
– Saturday, 20th December – A Thousand Steps to the Zoo
Kick off the season with a refreshing early morning walk through nature. Starting at 6:00 a.m., families will walk together, reflect together, and end the year stronger than they began.
– Christmas Day, 25th December – Folklore & Highlife with Kwan Pa
Celebrate Christmas with the vibrant sounds of folklore and highlife music performed by Ghana’s creative ensemble Kwan Pa. Tickets are set at an affordable ₵120, making this a perfect family outing.
– Saturday, 27th December – Kids’ Day at the Zoo
Dedicated entirely to children, this day promises endless fun with bouncy castles, face painting, free zoo tours, jamboree activities, and more. Entry is just ₵50, ensuring every child can join the excitement.
Ms. Ntiamoah noted that the events are designed to remove the “mystery” of the season by bringing celebrations into the heart of nature: “Hosting it in the zoo brings a different kind of excitement. That is what makes this experience truly special.”
She further assured that pricing has been carefully structured to make the celebrations inclusive: “This is an entire week of celebration, and we are creating one of the most affordable vendor opportunities because we want people to participate, benefit, and grow with us.”
