A military officer has died, and several others have been seriously injured following an accident involving an armoured vehicle at Saka, a suburb of the Bawku West District in Ghana’s Upper East Region.
The incident occurred as the soldiers were travelling from Bawku to Bolgatanga when one of the vehicle’s tyres burst, causing the driver to lose control.
The vehicle, registered as 21GA39, overturned.
Local residents assisted police in transporting the deceased and injured officers to the Zebilla District Hospital for medical attention.
