Ghanaian football fans planning to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup will benefit from a new “FIFA Pass” system being rolled out by the United States Embassy in Accra.

The dedicated platform is designed to simplify the visa application process and ensure ticket holders can schedule appointments with minimal hassle.

Embassy Press Attaché Matthew Asada told Citi Eyewitness News on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, that the FIFA Prioritised Appointment Scheduling System, or FIFA Pass, is almost ready and will be rolled out in the coming days to assist Ghanaian fans attending the 2026 World Cup.

“We will have more information about that soon,” Asada made jokes to pique the interest of enthusiastic followers.

“This will ensure that any non-immigrant visa applicant with a valid FIFA 2026 World Cup ticket is able to get an appointment before the World Cup itself,” Asada explained.

Fans are eagerly awaiting more details as the Embassy prepares to implement the system ahead of the tournament.
