Prior to the celebrations, Alban S.K. Bagbin, the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament and the chieftaincy title “Dakagli Naa,” gave the 2025 Dumba planning committee 100 bags of 50 rice, 30 boxes of oil, and 20 boxes of Tasty Tom tomato paste as a sign of his dedication to promoting traditional events in the Upper West Region.
Together with REGSEC and party members led by Regional Chairman Abdul Nasri Saani, Upper West Regional Minister Charles Lwanga Puozuing provided the endorsement on behalf of the Speaker.
On behalf of the planning committee, Jinpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim, secretary to the Overlord of Wala State, conveyed sincere appreciation to Speaker Bagbin for the kind act, characterising it as a timely and important addition to the Dumba festival’s success.
The planning committee’s efforts to make the festival one to remember are bolstered by the kind donation.
