President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in a seven-member Right to Information (RTI) Commission, marking another step in strengthening transparency and accountability in governance.
Led by Dr. James Asante, a respected communication expert and lecturer, with Christina Edmund as Vice Chairperson, the Commission’s mandate is to oversee the full implementation of the RTI Act.

Other members include Kwablah Woyome, Aba Edusah, Angela Emefa Kpegah, and Chris Dugan, with Shirley Lartey serving as Executive Secretary.
With its inauguration, the Commission is poised to reinforce Ghana’s commitment to transparency and accountability by ensuring that every citizen has access to timely and accurate public information.
