Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has instructed the acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) to provide a comprehensive report on all frequency authorisations issued or renewed in the past 60 days.

The directive, issued in a memo on Wednesday, February 12, is part of the government’s Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative, which seeks to reclaim state resources believed to have been improperly transferred to private entities without proper legal procedures.

In his statement, Minister George highlighted the administration’s commitment to ensuring transparency in managing assets under the ministry’s oversight.

“This marks the first phase in a full audit of all frequency authorisations to ensure proper use of state resources in the broadcasting sector,” he said.

The government plans to closely examine the process of issuing and renewing frequency licenses to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safeguard the interests of the state.
