As Okomfour Kwadee continues to face personal challenges, Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone is calling on Ghanaians to show compassion rather than blame the music industry for the artist’s struggles.
Kwadee, who has been open about his battles, has garnered public concern, with many criticizing the music industry, including organizations like MUSIGA and GHAMRO, for neglecting him during this difficult time. However, in an emotional Instagram post, Reggie Rockstone urged the public to shift their focus from pointing fingers to offering support.
“Instead of blaming the industry, let’s ask ourselves: what are we doing to help?” Rockstone wrote, questioning the public’s role in addressing Kwadee’s situation. “The public loves to point fingers, but how many of you are doing anything beyond just talking?”
The “Grandfather of Hiplife,” as he’s known, shared his own experiences helping others in need, emphasizing the importance of extending love and support, even to those who may not be in the spotlight.
“For years, this man made beautiful music for you,” Rockstone reflected. “If anyone should be emotional, it should be you.”
Rockstone also revealed that Kwadee’s situation is more complex than what is widely known, with efforts being made behind the scenes to assist him. He urged fans to contribute in meaningful ways, starting with prayers, financial support, or simply showing love.
Kwadee, renowned for his hits like Abrantie and Ofie Nipa, has spent time in and out of rehabilitation centers. He is currently with his family in the Upper East Region, working towards recovery.
Reggie Rockstone’s heartfelt message serves as a reminder to support artists in need—not just with words, but with tangible actions and empathy.
