Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly apologized for his inaccurate prophetic declaration concerning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
In a statement released on saturday, the Ghanaian preacher admitted that his earlier prophecy claiming Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would emerge victorious and become the party’s flagbearer did not come to pass.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” Prophet Nelson-Eshun stated.
He acknowledged that his pronouncement, made through books, videos, and media interviews, influenced many who trusted his word and may have been emotionally, spiritually, or politically affected.
The prophet emphasized that he takes full responsibility for the failed prophecy and does not shift blame. He extended his apology to all who felt hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted, especially those who made decisions based on his declaration.
“I sincerely apologize to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted in any way,” he said.
Prophet Nelson-Eshun added that the incident has prompted him to pause, reflect, and realign himself in accountability and discernment regarding how prophetic revelations are communicated. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, growth, and truth.
He further expressed gratitude to those who corrected him “in love” and continue to pray for him, while humbly asking believers in Ghana and across the world for forgiveness.
