Following his appearance in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on charges of rape and sexual assault, Thomas Partey, a former midfielder for Arsenal, was granted bail.
Partey, who was charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, showed up for a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
After appearing in court, the 32-year-old was given bail and denies all of the accusations. Four days after departing Arsenal, Partey was charged by the Metropolitan Police in July for alleged incidents involving three women that occurred between 2021 and 2022.
Despite the charges against him, the midfield player is anticipated to continue playing.
A supporters’ club has criticised the Spanish team’s pursuit of the midfield player, but it is reported that he will sign a contract with La Liga team Villarreal after leaving Arsenal. As previously stated by Jenny Wiltshire, Partey’s attorney, he “denies all the charges against him” and now looks forward to “the opportunity to finally clear his name.”
