Parliament resumes today, Tuesday, October 21, 2025, for its Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament, with Speaker Alban Bagbin officially welcoming lawmakers back to the chamber.
“All set for the commencement of the 3rd Meeting of 1st Session of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic,” Parliament announced via its official Facebook page, signalling the start of what is expected to be a pivotal final session for the year.
Among the highlights of today’s proceedings will be the swearing-in of two newly elected NDC Members — Bernard Bediako Baidoo of Akwatia and Professor Alidu Seidu of Tamale Central.
The session is also expected to pave the way for the presentation of the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson in November.
