The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu South, Effah Osei Bonsu, has assured the public of robust security arrangements ahead of this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.
Kwahu Easter remains one of Ghana’s biggest tourism events, attracting thousands of revellers from across the country and beyond each year.
Speaking at a press briefing in Mpraeso, Mr Osei Bonsu revealed that more than 1,000 personnel from the Ghana Police Service will be deployed across the municipality to maintain law and order throughout the festive period.
He explained that the move is aimed at ensuring the safety of residents and the large number of visitors expected in the area.
The MCE added that the Police will collaborate with other security and emergency agencies to guarantee a peaceful celebration. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service will be on standby to respond to fire outbreaks, while the Ghana Immigration Service will monitor movements at key points.
Additionally, the National Ambulance Service will be deployed to provide emergency medical support during the festivities.
Mr Osei Bonsu further urged the public to cooperate with security agencies and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a peaceful and incident-free celebration.
