The Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Ruth Dela Seddoh, says sweeping institutional reforms have significantly strengthened payroll integrity, leading to major cost savings and the gradual elimination of ghost names from the system.

According to her, the Authority’s newly implemented operational framework ensures that allowance payments are made only to duly verified national service personnel, closing loopholes that previously allowed irregular payments.

“I have saved taxpayers’ money, and I will fight with my last breath to ensure that there are no longer any ghost names at the NSA under the new system,” Ms. Seddoh stated.

She emphasised that the reforms are grounded in accountability and transparency, noting that strict verification processes now guide all disbursements.

“The goal is simple: every pesewa paid must go to a real, verified service person who has legitimately earned it,” she added.

Ms. Seddoh reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to protecting public funds and restoring public confidence in the National Service Scheme through continuous monitoring and system improvements.
