Kofi Tonto, a member of the communications team for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) appointed by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to resign from their positions.

In a statement on Facebook, Tonto argued that it was essential for the new administration under President John Dramani Mahama to be supported by individuals who align with his vision and policies. He emphasized that those who opposed Mahama’s ideas during the election campaign should step down to make room for those who believe in his leadership. “You cannot campaign against the vision and ideas of Mahama and expect to be maintained as a CEO. Step down for those who believe in his ideas and vision. It’s that simple!” Tonto wrote.

Tonto’s comments come in the wake of a legal dispute involving Hollistar Duah-Yentumi, the former Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, who has filed an injunction application against the company and its newly appointed MD, James Agyenim-Boateng.
