Chief Biney, a former Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has confirmed his separation from Maame Afia Akoto, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a brief Facebook post, Biney expressed gratitude for the journey but provided little insight into the reasons behind the separation.

He shared a biblical quote, emphasizing faith and divine guidance in life’s decisions. “Where God guides, He provides,” Biney wrote, acknowledging the end of the five-year journey with “success” in “Jesus’ name.” He also thanked religious figures who supported him, including Apostle Selasie Addae and Apostle Emmanuel Baidoo.

The announcement, made on February 12, coincides with the fifth anniversary of their traditional wedding.
