The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the 31st anniversary of the West African Mining and Power Exhibition and conference (WAMPEX 2025), taking place at the Accra International Conference Centre from the 28–30 May 2025.
WAMPEX is West Africa’s largest and longest-running mining and power exhibition and conference. This year’s event, themed “The Mining and Power Hub: Driving Sustainable Investment Opportunities in West Africa,” is organised in partnership with the Ghana Chamber of Mines, dmg events, and EPI
As the keynote speaker, Armah Kofi Buah will set the stage for discussions on sustainable resource management, investment opportunities, and the future of mining and power in the region. His leadership and commitment to environmental conservation and responsible resource governance underscores Ghana’s pivotal role in shaping the sector’s future.
Delegates will have the opportunity to hear about the future of mining in West Africa and the government’s commitment to promoting the expansion of local and international value chains—benefiting investors and stakeholders across West Africa.

WAMPEX 2025 is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors, 200+ exhibitors, and 1,200 companies, from over 20 different countries offering a unique platform for industry experts, investors, policymakers, and stakeholders to source from a wide range of cutting edge solutions, network with industry peers from across the continent and learn from the conference, workshops and demonstrations taking place during the event. Conference themes will include sustainable mining, investment trends, local content development, and ESG standards.
