As part of efforts to strengthen youth employment initiatives, the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency, Malik Basintale, accompanied by the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, Abubakari Saana Abdul Kudus, and directors of the agency, toured the Northshore Apparel Ghana facility in Savelugu to familiarise themselves with its operations and training processes.
Following a discussion with management, the CEO pledged to recruit 1,000 young people for training and eventual placement at Northshore Apparel Ghana to encourage the development of sustainable employment prospects in the Northern Region, in keeping with the agency’s purpose to promote youth employment.
The initiative demonstrates YEA’s commitment to collaborations that produce concrete employment opportunities. Strategic engagement with reputable private sector entities helps translate youth employment strategies into tangible impact.
