President John Dramani Mahama has confirmed that findings from the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee will be handed over to relevant investigative agencies for further scrutiny. The committee is set to present its report next week.

Speaking during his ‘Thank You’ tour of the Central Region on Thursday, 6 February 2025, Mahama reiterated his commitment to addressing corruption, both within his own administration and the previous one.

He assured the public that his government would prioritize the interests of all Ghanaians, not just a select few, emphasizing that accountability is a fundamental principle of his leadership.

“Next week, the ORAL committee that I set up is going to present its report to me. And I will refer it to the investigative organisations to start their investigations against people who have misappropriated the resources of this nation,” Mahama stated.

The president also highlighted plans to implement a comprehensive accountability framework and a code of conduct for public officials. He made it clear that both past and current officials would be held to the same ethical standards.

“Even as we investigate those who have just left office, and we carry out our Operation Recover All Loot, those who are current office bearers should also know that they will be held to the same standard as we are holding the past regime,” he added.

Mahama’s comments reflect his ongoing commitment to good governance and strengthening oversight in the fight against corruption.
