Mahama appoints Woelinam Dogbe as SSNIT’s new Deputy Director-General

With his extensive background, Mr. Dogbe is expected to bring a fresh perspective to SSNIT, helping to drive its investment strategies and overall development goals.

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Woelinam Dogbe as the new Deputy Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). Dogbe will oversee the Investment and Development (IDD) sector of SSNIT, bringing a wealth of experience to the role.

With over 18 years of experience in banking, management consulting, and business leadership, Dogbe is a seasoned professional. His career includes notable stints at leading financial institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity Bank Ghana, and Bayport S&L. Additionally, he has served on the boards of Agave Rural Bank PLC and Woezor Group Limited.

Before his latest appointment, Mr.Dogbe was the Chief Operating Officer at Woezor Group and Managing Consultant at Plankton Partners Limited, a consulting firm that works with businesses across multiple industries.

Mr.Dogbe’s credentials include being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana, and a certified Environmental and Social Risk Management Consultant by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

A graduate of Achimota School, Dogbe holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and an MBA from the University of Bradford, UK.
