Renowned Ghanaian actor, comedian, and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has once again demonstrated his generous spirit during a promotional visit to Kumasi’s Adum Market.
The outreach, aimed at creating buzz for his upcoming film Captain Ibrahim Traore: The Last African Hero, took an emotional turn after an unfortunate incident involving a local trader.
Amid the excitement and large crowds that gathered to catch a glimpse of the entertainer, a yam seller identified as Beatrice Kankam lost her bag containing over GH₵2,000 — proceeds from her day’s sales and working capital. The distressed trader was left in tears as news of the missing money quickly spread through the market.
Moved by her plight, Lil Win stepped in without hesitation. In a heartwarming gesture witnessed by many, he presented Beatrice with GH₵3,000 in cash — not only covering her loss but adding a little extra to help her recover.
“I came here to spread joy and promote something meaningful — a story about African pride,” Lil Win said. “I didn’t expect anything like this to happen, but when I saw her pain, I had to act.”
The touching moment, captured on video, has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread praise for Lil Win’s act of kindness and humility.
His new movie, Captain Ibrahim Traore: The Last African Hero, celebrates the bold leadership and resilience of Burkinabè revolutionary leader Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The film, which delves into themes of African strength, sacrifice, and resistance, is scheduled to premiere this weekend at the SG Mall Cinema in Kumasi. The event is expected to attract a host of Ghanaian and international dignitaries.
Lil Win continues to receive accolades not only for his contributions to Ghana’s film industry but also for using his platform to uplift everyday Ghanaians.
