Ketu North MP Deepens Transparency with “Accounting to the People” Engagement

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, has reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability through his quarterly community engagement initiative, “Accounting to the People.”

Over the weekend, Hon. Agbana hosted the third edition of the program in Peny, where he provided updates on ongoing development projects and discussed government interventions aimed at improving livelihoods in the constituency.

The event brought together community leaders, residents, and party supporters, providing a platform for open dialogue between the MP and his constituents.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Agbana outlined several developmental projects being executed in Ketu North under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government. He urged constituents to continue supporting the government to enable more projects to reach the area.

Also speaking at the event, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu North, Rev. Amenaki, raised concerns about the destructive activities of Fulani herdsmen in the municipality. He noted that the destruction of farmlands by roaming cattle poses a serious threat to local farmers and food security. He appealed to landowners accommodating Fulani settlers to reconsider their actions to prevent further damage and social tension.

The Chief of Peny, Togbe Senyo, commended Hon. Agbana for his consistency and dedication to community accountability, describing the initiative as a commendable example of grassroots governance.

He further encouraged the MP to continue his good work and maintain close engagement with the people of Ketu North.

Meanwhile, the Paramount Chief of the Peny Traditional Area, Togbega Dadzi, also praised the “Accounting to the People” program, emphasizing its role in fostering trust, feedback, and collaborative development between local leaders and the electorate.

The Accounting to the People initiative continues to serve as a model for open governance, strengthening the connection between leadership and citizens in Ketu North.
