Kasoa MP Donates Food Items to Imams to Support Ramadan Fasting

The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, has donated assorted food items to Muslim leaders in Kasoa to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.

The items were presented to several Imams within the constituency as part of the MP’s efforts to support the Muslim community during the annual fasting period. The donation is expected to assist the Imams and their congregations in preparing meals for the daily breaking of the fast.

Items donated included bottles of cooking oil, bags of rice, tins of milk, and other foodstuffs to help ease the burden of providing meals during the fasting period.

She noted that Ramadan is a sacred period for Muslims and offers an opportunity for reflection, prayer, and acts of charity. According to her, supporting religious leaders during this time demonstrates solidarity with the Muslim faithful in the constituency.

The beneficiary Imams expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture, describing it as timely and helpful during the fasting period. They also offered prayers for the MP and the constituency, asking for peace, development, and continued unity among residents.
