The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Adansi-Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
The accident claimed the lives of two senior government ministers and six others.
In a statement, the Association conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, and the entire nation.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the NDC government, and the entire nation of Ghana during this very difficult moment,” the statement read.
“The loss of such dedicated public servants and fellow citizens is not only a personal tragedy to their families but also a national loss, which leaves a void in our collective efforts toward national development.”
Executive Secretary of the Association, Mr. Samson Asaki Awingobit, said the organization stands in solidarity with the government and all Ghanaians in mourning, offering prayers for strength and comfort to the affected families.
“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace,” he added.
