The General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Dr. Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako, has been named the 2025 Public Sector PR Leader of the Year – Maritime at the prestigious Marketing World Awards (MWA).
The honour was announced at the 14th edition of the pan-African awards ceremony held on Thursday, November 27, at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The Marketing World Awards recognises brands and professionals who demonstrate outstanding innovation, leadership, and impact in marketing and communications across the continent.

In its citation, organisers praised Dr. Antwi-Boasiako for his exemplary leadership in building a credible, transparent, and engaging public image for GPHA. His strategic communication initiatives, they noted, have:

A Distinguished Communications Professional
Dr. Antwi-Boasiako is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most influential public affairs experts, credited with shaping national narratives around critical public institutions and their contribution to development.
Before his current role at GPHA headquarters, he served as Public Affairs Manager at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and later as Marketing and Public Affairs Manager at the Takoradi Port, where his experience and leadership helped advance several major milestones.
A notable achievement under his leadership was GPHA’s win of the IAPH Sustainability Award in Community Building at the International Association of Ports and Harbours conference in Japan this year—an accolade attributed in part to his team’s consistent storytelling on GPHA’s sustainable community development initiatives.
