The forum is expected to lay the foundation for key economic decisions that will drive Ghana’s recovery and long-term growth

The Government of Ghana has announced plans to host the National Economic Dialogue on March 3 and 4, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, with President John Dramani Mahama set to deliver the keynote address.

The event, themed “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” aims to tackle pressing economic challenges and develop practical solutions for sustainable growth.

A statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the dialogue forms part of President Mahama’s commitment to involving Ghanaians in shaping the country’s economic future.

The discussions are expected to foster consensus on priority policies and structural reforms needed to revitalise the economy.

The forum will bring together key stakeholders from the private sector, academia, public policy institutions, and civil society organisations to deliberate on strategies for economic recovery.

Participants will engage in thematic sessions covering:

  • Achieving sustainable macroeconomic stability
  • Promoting economic transformation
  • Advancing infrastructure development
  • Implementing structural reforms
  • Ensuring private sector-led growth
  • Restoring good governance and combating corruption

The government says the dialogue will set clear commitments and milestones to help reset the economy and ensure long-term resilience. Officials hope the discussions will lead to policies that create better business opportunities and improve living conditions across the country.

“The government remains resolute in its dedication to constructive engagement and collaboration as we strive to build the Ghana we want,” the statement added.
