Ken Ofori-Atta is ready to cooperate with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) but cannot appear in person due to health reasons, his wife Prof. Angela Ofori-Atta has said.
In a statement released on Monday, June 16, she revealed that her husband underwent a robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy on Friday, June 13.
Speaking to Joy News, and monitired by Bullet online, she dismissed claims that her husband is avoiding accountability.
“I don’t think there is any other home but Ghana, no, Ghana is home,” she stated, adding that he will return when his doctors permit.
The OSP recently declared him wanted again, insisting that a virtual interview is not enough given the seriousness of the corruption probe. Prof. Ofori-Atta questioned this stance, asking,
“So why are we holding back on the investigation? Why would he [the OSP] not give the video?”
She emphasized that her husband remains open to participating remotely until he is well enough to appear in person.
