The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha has issued an urgent security advisory urging all Ghanaians living in Qatar to take immediate shelter until further notice following heightened security tensions in Doha.

According to the official release, the advisory was prompted by a missile attack and its impact in parts of the Qatari capital. Ghanaian nationals have been strongly advised to remain indoors, avoid crowded areas, and stay away from military installations or sensitive sites to minimise exposure to danger.

The Embassy further urged residents to rely only on official sources for information and to ensure they have essential supplies, including medication and food, readily available.

“Due to the current security situation, all Ghanaians are advised to take shelter until further notice,” the statement said, adding that safety remains the top priority.

Emergency Contacts Issued

To support nationals during the period of heightened alert, the Embassy has activated emergency communication channels. Ghanaians in distress or in need of assistance have been asked to contact the Embassy through the following numbers:

  • Emergency Hotline: +974 44 36 44 86 or +974 70 13 62 81
  • Email: doha@mfa.gov.gh

The Embassy is located at Zone 66, Street 576, Building 7, Al-Dafina, Doha.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its diplomatic mission in Doha, said it continues to closely monitor developments and will provide updates as the situation evolves.

Ghanaians in Qatar have been urged to remain calm, vigilant, and fully comply with the advisory until further instructions are issued.
