A fire broke out early on Friday, March 21, in the central business district of Adum, Kumasi, destroying multiple stores and causing significant damage. Amid the chaos, two suspected looters were arrested while attempting to steal from shops that had been completely ravaged by the flames.
The fire, which started around 6:00 AM in a two-story building housing several businesses, quickly spread throughout the area, reaching the well-known Blue Light Arena near Hello FM.
As firefighters battled to contain the inferno, some individuals exploited the confusion, attempting to steal valuables from the affected shops.
In response, security forces—including police and fire personnel—were swiftly deployed to the scene to prevent further looting and restore order.
With the area still bustling with activity, security officers remain on high alert, ensuring public safety and preventing additional incidents.
