Drivers in the Twifo Praso area and neighboring communities such as Assin Fosu and Hemang Lower Denkyira no longer have to endure long trips to Dunkwa or Cape Coast for vehicle and licensing services.

A new Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) office has been established in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District, bringing essential services closer to residents.

Announcing the development, District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Isaac Yawson described the office as a major relief for drivers and a breakthrough in improving service accessibility.

He credited the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. T.D. Vondee, and Council of State member, Hon. Hakim, for their tireless advocacy and lobbying, which made the project a reality.

Hon. Yawson pledged the district assembly’s full support for the newly posted DVLA officer, assuring that the necessary resources and enabling environment would be provided to ensure smooth operations.

According to him, the office will not only ease the burden on drivers but also strengthen compliance with road regulations and enhance safety in the district.

“This initiative is a big step toward bringing essential services closer to our people. It will improve convenience, boost economic activity, and enhance the quality of life for residents,” the DCE noted.

Residents have welcomed the development, expressing optimism that the new DVLA office will deliver greater efficiency, reduce travel costs, and promote growth within the community.
