The Gomoa East District Assembly is calling on investors and business leaders to take advantage of the upcoming Gomoa East Businesses, Artisans and Investment Expo, an initiative aimed at promoting local enterprises and attracting investment into the district.

The District Chief Executive for Gomoa East District, Margaret Naana Ackom, said the district has enormous potential for business growth, citing its vast land resources and scenic beaches that make it suitable for commercial development and tourism investment.

According to her, Gomoa East possesses several key factors investors often look for when establishing businesses, including the availability of raw materials.

Hon. Naana Ackom particularly appealed to renowned Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama to consider establishing one of his cement factories in the district. She noted that the raw materials needed for cement production are readily available in Gomoa East.

She also revealed that traditional leaders in the district have already made land available to investors willing to establish businesses.

Expo Scheduled for March 22–29

The DCE further invited local investors, entrepreneurs, and artisans to participate in the Expo, which is scheduled to take place from March 22 to March 29.

She called for strong community support to ensure the success of the event, emphasizing that the Expo will create opportunities for local businesses to expand and attract partnerships.

Hon. Naana Ackom disclosed that several industries are already operating within the district. These include Focus, a bulb manufacturing company, a wheelbarrow manufacturing company, Valentine Boots Factory, and about four quarry dust companies.

She therefore encouraged artisans and business owners to actively participate in the Expo, stressing that the initiative will help create employment opportunities for young people and contribute to the overall growth of the local economy.
