Asuogyaman Tourism and Arts Festival 2025: Hotels and Guest Houses Fully Booked Ahead of Grand Event

Hotels, guest houses, and hospitality facilities across the Asuogyaman District are gearing up for the highly anticipated 2025 Asuogyaman Tourism and Arts Festival, scheduled for December 4–7 in Atimpoku–Akwamu.

Accommodation facilities in the area are already reporting full bookings, as visitors from Ghana and abroad prepare to attend the maiden edition of the festival, expected to attract thousands of tourists.

Heavy Security Deployment

To ensure safety throughout the four-day festival, about 1,000 police officers will be deployed to maintain law and order. Additional support will come from the Military, National Ambulance Service, Ghana National Fire Service, NADMO, the Navy, and the National Investigation Bureau (NIB).

The Ghana Tourism Authority, under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, is collaborating with the Ghana Tourist Development Company and the Asuogyaman District Security Council (DISEC) to coordinate security and emergency services.

High Expectations Across the District

During a visit to the district, several hotel operators expressed optimism about the economic prospects of the festival, noting increased reservations and heightened interest from both local and foreign tourists.

Traditional authorities are also expected to play a key role in the event. The Paramount Chief of the Akwamu State, HRM Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, along with the Anum Manhene and Bosso, will grace the festival and present awards to deserving participants.

Since 2016, the CEO of Adome Bridge Gardens, Mr. Agyare Baffoe with the chief support from the Asuogyaman District Chief Executive- DCE, the District planner and of course the Paramount chief of Akwamu, His Royal Majesty HRM Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III.

A Festival Packed With Activities

This year’s Asuogyaman Tourism and Arts Festival will feature a wide array of activities, including:

-Health walk

-Fun games

-Guided tours on the Volta Lake

-Canoe races

-Boat riding

– “Asuogyaman Strongest” contest

– “Asuogyaman Most Beautiful” pageant

-Traditional cultural displays

-Musical concerts

And several other entertainment activities

As part of the climax, the iconic Adomi Bridge will be adorned with modern decorative lighting, accompanied by spectacular fireworks across the Volta Lake and nearby islands.

The 2025 festival promises to be a memorable celebration of culture, tourism, arts, and community spirit in the Asuogyaman District.
