The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, effective February 5, 2025.
The move follows the nomination of a new chief executive by the bank’s majority shareholder, signalling a leadership transition at the state-backed lender.
Mr Yakubu-Tali, who took over as Managing Director on December 1, 2022, previously served as Deputy Managing Director since August 2017.
During his tenure, he oversaw the execution of a two-year corporate strategy aimed at strengthening the bank’s financial position.
His leadership was instrumental in securing an additional capital injection of GHS 1.501 billion, which the bank credited with stabilising its capital structure.
He also led efforts to recover non-performing loans, reversing years of financial losses and improving overall performance.
“The Board, Management, and staff thank Mr. Yakubu-Tali for his remarkable contribution to the progress of Agricultural Development Bank PLC and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” the bank said in a statement.
