Calm has returned to the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw following an attempted attack on the facility by a group of irate youth.

According to eyewitnesses, about one hundred young men stormed the hospital demanding that a patient, identified as Quashiga, be handed over to them. The group allegedly sought to avenge the death of a popular local musician, Kwame Kissi, also known as Phada Gaza.

Reports indicate that the musician and the suspect were involved in a violent altercation earlier in the day, during which both sustained serious injuries. Phada Gaza was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the hospital, while Quashiga was admitted in critical condition.
