The queens of Kumasi Bitters Di Asa Season 9 have begun their journey in the Di Asa House with a comprehensive health screening exercise aimed at ensuring their well-being throughout the competition.
On Thursday, all 62 contestants were taken to the Entrance University Hospital for the medical checks, fulfilling a promise made by the organizers ahead of the show’s official start.
The screening covered a wide range of tests including:
- Full Blood Count – to assess overall health and detect signs of infection, anaemia, or other conditions
- Blood Sugar Levels – to check for diabetes or related conditions
- Hepatitis B Screening – especially important as the contestants will be living together
- Typhoid Test
- Pregnancy Test
- Vital Signs Monitoring – including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. In addition, individuals with specific health concerns were given further attention by the medical team. According to hospital staff, the majority of the queens were in good health. However, a few were found to have elevated blood pressure and other minor issues. Those affected were provided with free medication to manage their conditions. The organizer, TOBINCO Media Group, emphasized that the health and safety of the queens remain a top priority as the reality show progresses.
