As part of its efforts to improve service delivery and supply energy, the energy Company of Ghana (ECG) is anticipated to carry out planned maintenance in five regions today, Thursday, October 9.
The exercise would impact portions of the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, Volta, and Tema areas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., according separate announcements released by ECG on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Otinibi, Danfa, Kerman, Oyibi, Amrahia, New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr. Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Dome Mega Church, Paa Dan, Israel, Alhaji, and the adjacent communities are among the places in the Greater Accra Region that will be impacted by the maintenance work.
Outages will also occur in the following locations of the Tema Region: Jerusalem, Katamanso, Promised Land, King Solomon, Santor, Aunty Araba, Agbeshie Laryea, Nelplast, Kubekro, Klagon, Mobole, Otsebreku, Okushibri, Apollonia, Elegant Homes, Santor, Agbeshie Laryea, and the surrounding districts.
Atwima Agogo, Mfanse, Mankranso, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Mpasaetia, Abuakwa Maakro, Abakomade, a portion of Tanoso, Pokukrom, Abuakwa, Kasapreko, Formulation, Asonomaso, Atwima Manhyia, Atwima Koforidua, Tabre, Ntensere, Asakraka, Asempaneye, Afari Military Hospital, Seidi, Hiawu-Besease, Kontomire, Nnerebehi, Mankranso, Boatenkrom, Bonkwaso, and their surroundings will be impacted by planned construction in the Ashanti Region.
According to the corporation, the Central Region will see maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., impacting localities like Apam, Manford, Gomoa Dago, the Apam District Assembly region, and a portion of Ankamu Junction.
A two-hour repair operation at the Aflao Bulk Supply Point in the Volta Region from 9 to 11 am was also announced by GRIDCo.
Denu, Ave Town, Aflao, Hedzranawo, Kedzi, Adina, Agavedzi, Keta, Afiadenyinba, Nakyikope, Abor, a portion of Akatsi, Dzodze, and the adjacent communities are among the impacted places.
In order to guarantee a dependable power supply and network stability, ECG and GRIDCo stated that the exercise is a component of routine system improvements.
